Empowering the Next Generation in Cyber Security

We’re proud to be part of a new programme aimed at introducing secondary school students to the exciting and essential world of cyber security. Organised by the Cyber Ireland South-East Chapter, this five-week initiative launched in January 2025 and is reaching students across the region.

Inspiring Future Cyber Experts
The pilot programme includes 20 schools across the South East, with plans to expand nationwide. Its goal is to raise awareness of cyber security careers, especially among girls, who are key to diversifying this male-dominated sector. As an all-female cyber security company, we’re thrilled to support a project that inspires more young women to explore cyber security as a career.

Cyber security has never been more important, and the industry continues to grow rapidly. Our Co-CEO, Eveline van Manen, has personally visited schools to kick off the programme. She shares her experience with students and highlights the incredible opportunities available in this dynamic field.

Hands-On Learning with SETU and CALMAST
Eveline has introduced Transition Year students to engaging, hands-on activities such as cyber attack simulations, digital forensics, and message encoding exercises. These sessions offer students a deeper understanding of the skills and tools used in the industry today.

This programme is a collaboration with SETU and CALMAST, supported by leading cyber security companies, and provides direct access to professionals who are actively working to protect our digital world.

With cyber security job demand in Ireland expected to more than double by 2030, this programme is a vital step toward preparing and empowering the next generation—especially young girls—to lead in this growing field.
